How long does a custom built classic 4x4 take?

Of course there isn't an exact time frame of 43.5 business days. Factors include how many builds are scheduled ahead of you in cue. The extent of the build. Frame off nut and bolt restoration vs fluff and buff refresh. With that being said each full restoration takes approximately 45-60 dedicated working days from start. We do have multiple builds going at one time but we try to finish anything in that frame.

Which classic 4x4 do you like best?

Too difficult to answer directly, but what we do is listen to your wants and needs and cater the right vehicle for you.

Is a 300TDI better than 200TDI in a defender?

The 300TDI was released in the defender in 1994, it is a more modern refined version of the 200TDI. The power output is virtually the same however the 300TDI does produce a little more torque. The 300TDI has a few more moving parts which require more maintenance but it is noticeably quieter smoother running engine. Both are great motors, the 200TDI seems to be a bit more reliable but the stereo doesn't need to be turned up as loud with the 300TDI.

... But wait a second, what about a TD5 in a defender?

Yes! Now with the 25 yr rule of importing Land Rovers we can get the TD5 motor. It is a pretty significant difference compared to the 200 / 300 tdi's. The TD5 first introduced in 1998 now incorporated an ECU in the mix and relies on computer controlled fuel management and overall performance of the engine. Now I know what some might say... computers in a Land Rover 'no thank you' and you have some justifiable doubt, however the performance and refinement from a TD5 is a significant improvement.

How does an early bronco drive?

It's not a vehicle you go have a few drinks at your local watering hole and text your buddies on the way home to meet for a night cap. (We wouldn't condone that with any vehicle) Early broncos have a tendency to wander compared to our more modern cars. Yes the restoration parts are new but it's still 50 year old technology. You will find you drive with both hands and might make slight steering corrections. They have plenty of power, sound amazing and guaranteed to get a thumbs up.

What type of warranty do you offer?

There isn't a 3 yr 36,000 as with new cars, but we do stand behind our vehicles and if things go wrong shortly after ownership we stand behind them.

Do you offer financing?

We do offer financing on all our classic cars. We work closely with Woodside Credit out of California. They are a great company to be teamed with and can usually close on the loan in 24-48 hours.

How is it to own a Land Rover Series?

It's like great Chinese food! We know what you're saying... WTF are they talking about?  A Land Rover Series is a vehicle you love to get in and drive around town locally, taking back roads grabbing a late dinner or afternoon beach run once in awhile. You love the look, the simplicity and total transformation to a sunset cruise along the Amalfi coast BUT do not enjoy the stiff uncomfortable discomfort workout you feel soon after. A Land Rover Series is not a daily driver but it sure is a blast.

Will these cars break?

Yes! New Cars break... old cars break more often. Even though the parts maybe new it is still old technology. Antique vehicles whether they are 50 years old or 25 years old, require upkeep, maintenance and the realization that at some point something WILL fail!
